QPR fans of a certain vintage hate us because of 1976

I think, using that as an example, the suggestion to 'move on' kind of makes sense if directed at supporters bearing a 37 year grudge. Not so sure it is as applicable for hose amused by the failings of a manager who walked out on us seven months ago.
