From memory (but I've got it writ down at hum somewhere): Diced lamb, onions, chili, tumeric, paprika, cinnamon, garlic, tin of chopped tomatoes, dried apricots, flaked almonds.
Mix the tumeric, paprika and cinnamon with some seasoning and oil (you can you your third best, second-press, slightly virgin but has been fingered once oil for this - not the best stuff) and slap it on the lamb - do that the night before, and leave it in the fridge.
In the morning, chop the onion and chilli and fry gently in a little oil - add the spiced lamb just to brown. Once brown - only a few minutes - add the tin of tomatoes, crushed garlic, and whack it all in the slow cooker, on low.
Fuck off to work.
When you get home, bung in the dried apricots and flaked almonds, put the lid back on, leave it half an hour and bosh - done. Serve with couscous and crusty bread, accompanied by Jeff Beck doing a f**king bossa nova on a harp.
You can sling in other dried fruit if you like, dates, sultanas and that, depending on your ponciness or otherwise.
