I do wonder IF we'd got through to the final

amongst the backdrop of our current poor run of league results whether people would have of been saying that the cup was a huge distraction and affecting our Prem form?

Damned if you do, damned if you don't!

Cup runs are nice to have, but in the current climate we have to do everything possible to secure Premier League football next year... so in that respect I'm glad we never got anywhere near Wembley.

Then of course, there's always the FA Cup.....
