Just been catching up on posts from yesterday, and was interested to read your views and the replies about players getting booed and whether or not it does or should affect their performance
I think the distinction between being a professional and a human is not as black and white as you make out
Professionals are not robots they are still human and behave in such a way, irrespective of their profession
In faulty sure a heart surgeon constantly on the receiving end of booing in the middle of doing his professional job would suffer a slight bout of insecurity (probably a s**t example, but you get the point)
Also, if players don't care about what their own fans think of them, why do they go f**king crazy and celebrate right in front of them when they score a goal??
They may get loads of wonga, cos so many fans choose to inject their hard earned money into the profession that is football, but they clearly still need a bit of love from those that are meant to be the "supporters" of the club, providing "support" (and not just financial)
