10 years ago IE6 was the best browser

The problem was that it wasn't updated for so long that they didn't keep up with web standards.

IE 8, 9 and 10 are mostly fine. Some web developers still b***h about them but if they have a problem gettings sites working in IE8+ then they aren't very good at their jobs.
