Of course Ashton is going to attract attention, and be linked here there and everywhere. But here's the thing. What's ?10m worth in the short term, against having a striker on your books that will score an absolute container load next season?

?10m now v ?20m plus in 12 months.

Prolific strikers are a very rare thing. Someone with Deano's all round abilities are virtually priceless. If we were stuck in Div 1 two or three years down the line, then it would be a different matter. However the club want to bounce back, and selling Deano now (even for ?10m) makes absolutely no sense to me.
