Setting aside the nonsense notion of some amorphous 'feminist lobby'

it would be ridiculous for a feminist to campaign for these sentences to be equal as they would:

a) be campaigning to increase the level of sentencing for women - why on earth would they do that? Try to increase the number of women going to prison and the length of time they spend there? How would that be a positive step for women? Indeed, what I suspect would happen is that certain people would start bleating about how feminists are so out of control that...get this guys!...they want HARSHER sentences for women, just so they can be equal with men. IDIOTS!

b) campaigning for a reduction in sentences for men, which isn't something the 'feminist lobby' probably spend that much time worrying about.

There is also the possibility that the 'feminist lobby' think that sentences for women are fine and proportionate, so don't require change.

The article you linked to does explain one possible reason for the disparity in sentencing - that many women are primary caregivers for children etc. It's also possible that this disparity in sentencing comes from the fact that men are disproportionately represented in the judiciary, so maybe it's men's outdated opinions of women that cause it? Perhaps if there were a greater number of women judges, sentencing for women would be increased? So campaign groups who seek to promote women in the judiciary (who would presumably be part of this 'feminist lobby') could be said to be doing something about it.
