Barclay Boy by James Scoltock
Got this for xmas. Anyone read this? I couldn't get past the bit in the introduction where he says (paraphrasing)
"Obviously when I was growing up Liverpool were winning everything and were the team to support and I followed them until they won the 2005 champions league. Norwich City had always been at the back of my mind and I decided to support them..."
Surely he'd have been better just not putting this in, or maybe he was scared some nerd would find out his past allegiances and slag him off on Amazon or whatever?
Anyway, I've not read it as this utterly sours things for me but was wondered if its worth bothering with or slinging straight in the charity shop?
