Tech help needed

Got a new iPod for Christmas but due to a new port it doesn't work with my current docker. Is this the right connector to plug new iPod into current docker?

Not quite sure why it's ?2.99 on Amazon buy ?25 on apple. Obviously paying extra for the apple brand but the price difference seems ridiculous
