Great Day Out

Early train 7.57 so missed the later problems; breakfast and beers in College Arms, then Yates, Brewery Tap, Ostrich, Wortley Almshouses, couldn't get onto Boat so into ground. Right side of goal first half with few up for surging even when we scored so after a long wee up against the wall at the back of the stand (memories of yesteryear) moved to left side isle. Brilliant with a few surges up and down and a chorus of Kenny Kenny Foggo on the wing made my day. Easily pleased. Great retro day but surprised how many people thought terracing was just for standing and not moving, even when we scored. Each to their own.

Back to Almhouses after then off-licence and on train to be packed in like cattle and unfortunately separated from those with the beer and food. Bugger. Still, made a joke of the conditions and had a laugh with those around us and apart from an officious (and lacking in any interpersonal skills) driver and dog-handler at Ely. Frigging driver said we should be lucky to be an a train at all!!!!!!!

Overall a great day 70's style football day out.
