Well this is it. Put yourself in Lerner's position

Your manager wants to sell Bent and you know you'll need to spend much of that money on a replacement. Will you spend on Morison or Holt? Villa have a young team that are in diiiiire need of some nous. I reckon if PL tells Holt he'd be first pick, and he'd be playing up front with a partner, I think Holt would be tempted and, if the money's right, I think Hoots would say yes. But only once he'd bring in one or two new forwards for us to be excited about.

Thing is, I think WE need Holt's nous every bit as much as they do.
