Lost a lot of respect for him - It looked to me like Johnson was simply trying to step across him and caught him on the ankle - it happens in the game.

As for him being "furious", there are clips of Martinez's reaction just after the incident and he looks far from furious. Clearly he's decided to become furious after a) they lost the game and b) McCarthy had to come off after seemingly being OK for the 20 minutes after the challenge.
