What Fellaini did to Shawcross was disgusting, but...

I can't help but feel that the way that Stoke have approached games in the past few seasons has lead to this. They've got away with some horrendous and overly physical tactics for a long time, but recently refs have been very relunctant to give them much. That's 'karma' for you.

If Shawcross wasn't such a routine shirt puller/malicious tackler then I don't think he would have been treated in such a way, the same goes for his team mates in recent weeks. I'm not condoning Fellaini's disgraceful actions but that is my opinion on why Stoke have been dealt soime hard lines recently.

Fellaini should be dealt with in the correct manner, but I hope that Tony Pulis reflects on these sorts of incidents by realising that his team have pushed refs into thinking that over the top aggression is acceptable. You live by the sword, etc.
