pros use full frame SLRs

Which is not what you suggested.

The image quality of a Sony Nex or latest gen Panasonic or Olympus is indistinguishable from comparably priced dSLRs (which are, after all, not a badge of quality, simply an indication of the fact they use a mirror and optical viewfinder)

And also full frame was not what the fella who was asking was looking for (price/complexity).

There are nice dSLRs on the market at the mo, the new Nikons are superb.

But you are wrong about the image quality thing - which ultimately is more to do with the glass you stick on the camera than the sensor.

(if he'd asked about shooting sports I'd agree with you as predictive focus is still better with moving objects than the more accurate contrast based systems that csc's use)
