Depth of field is linked to sensor size and width of aperture. As the sensor size of these is the same as a dSLR and you can get bright prime lenses for them too, depth of field and subject isolation isn't a problem.

Compact system camaras are not the same category of kit as the "compact cameras" you're talking about.
