If you're thinking of buying a camera that doesn't fit into your pocket, you may as well

go the whole hog and get a proper one. I'd recommend one of the outdated Canon or Nikons for example. You can get, say, a Canon 500 EOS, which is a very capable and good quality camera, for good prices.

Look at this offer at Jessops: you've got your standard 18-55mm lens and a good 75-300 mm lens for under 500 quid
