My point below had nothing to do with race but

Seriously watch back the goal celebration after Hernandez' goal at Chelsea and tell me it had nothing to do with the injury sustained by the steward then go watch back footage of various Man United goals over the last 5 years and tell me that Ferdinand does not like to deliberately bait the opposition fans when celebrating goals.

It doesn't make throwing coins right or excuse the perpetrator but it is also naive to claim these types of celebration do not contribute to these incidents and Ferdinand and United players do it regularly and often deliberately to wind oppo fans up. Yes others do it but it's something I've noticed Ferdinand do a lot over the years so I am not surprised it has come back to bite him today.
