Any good PC games????

I wanna play some good demo games on my PC which I have never before used for games.

I would like a spaceship shoot em up type of game (like Starfox or Rogue Squadron on N64) and a car racing game like Mario Carts or Wave Race, or Wipeout.

Any ideas?
