Those were who I listened to most at fairly important times. I played Hypnotised all the way through on vinyl the other day and it was really just like being 14 again. What a f**king album.

Later on when I went to university Pixies were just so ahead of their time and I was able to see them several times in Birmingham, first not long after Surfer Rosa came out. Amazing live.

Being in Birmingham meant that PWEI were very important as well. Nice to see Clint Mansell so successful as a soundtrack composer.
