It's a while since I read it but I've just flicked through a few pages

It's a gently humorous book about playing cricket at the level most people do, club or village cricket, with anecdotes and pen pictures of the sort of people you meet eg different kinds of bowlers, umpires and so on. In tone probably similar to the other one but without the globe-trotting. I must have found it reasonably entertaining as I have a couple more books by that author.
