Projector Man has spoken

He says there is no point in spending less than ?3000 on a projector (despite the fact that the Internet is awash with perfectly decent looking projectors for about ?800).

(a) am I being spun a line here - foew anyone have a projector and what did it cost and how does it perform and (b) if he's right, wouldn't I be better getting a big old USAC-stylee f**k off telly??
