Chelsea fans, including your mate I expect, were very happy to celebrate and enjoy the success that they've had - which has been pretty much entirely down to Abramovich's bankrolling the club.

So being a 'rich man's plaything' is fine as long as they keep winning. But when he makes a decision they don't like, it's suddenly not OK at all.

I think they have to accept both sides of the bargain, personally.
