BBC

Have to say I have always been a big fan but never appreciated just how great the BBC is until I lived abroad. The expat shield gives me access to the TV but even without that I love listening to the Radio which is awesome as well, the World Football Phone-In is something to look forward to each week.

A lot of my students comment on how good the stuff from the BBC is I present in my class from time to time. The nature programmes are incredible....Blue Planet, Planet Earth...etc...in recent years but a lot of great historical and groundbreaking camera work and programming in that field as well. The travel documentaries the BBC have produced have been a personal inspiration in my life, in the current episodes of Palin in Brazil it?s beautifully shot and produced with a great personal touch often lacking in other shows in that field from other broadcasters.

The news I still find the best, only like watching Al Jazeera as an alternative to it.

It?s Olympic coverage was incredible and in 2012 well worth the licence fee alone, you honestly have no idea how lucky you are compared to how that was covered in the Americas.

There is a load of other stuff as well but I have other stuff to do.
