if you read our forum, many many Stokies are utterly exasperated about how much we've spent in 4 years (over ?80m) and what we are seeing.
all fans are one-eyed, and in fairness, whether we let you play or not, you didn't play a great deal yourselves yesterday in what was a dreadful game.
We have QPR at home next week - if we lose then it will be very interesting to see the reaction of Stoke fans. Saying it how it is, is a Potteries birthright. When ManYoo wanted change- they knitted green and gold scarves. When Stoke wanted change several hundred invaded the pitch, the directors box and then the chairman's lounge during a game. Not right, but as a cohort, our support is honest and will immediately voice any displeasure where it is deserved.
at present, Mr Pulis has lost a lot of favour. With some Stokies he has never had any, despite the FA Cup final and Europe. These are interesting times in this "Sh****le of a c*** place in the middle of nowhere"**.
Listen, the game was the least of my worries this weekend. As me and 5 others sat in a pub in Tombland 8pm, we asked the question "A great night tonight or 3 points tomorrow?". We got the result that 4 of the 6 chose.
** irony-o-meter off the scale as Stoke is one of the most accessible cities in England apart from London, with 4 airports within an hour and 2 motorways on the doorstep.
