the key difference between cup games and league games is the number of seats available. Mcnally justified the cup ticket prices against Spurs on the basis that they were ?20 cheaper than the league price will be but the league prices themselves are not really a true reflection of what most fans will pay as they reflect supply and demand.

Because we only have 4000-5,500 tickets to shift for most league games and half of those are normally away fans they cen generally shift them even charging extortionate prices. You won't howevere find 27,000 fans prepared to pay those sort of prices and i would suggest that would equally be the case in the earlier rounds of the FA Cup even against a big side.

If we got spurs (or even maybe Man U) in the third round of the FA Cup and charged ?45-50 a ticket i reckon we would probably get about the same as we did last night!
