Not really

We do ourselves a disservice. I've been to games in Germany where the game has had to be played at 3pm on a weekday, due to deaths in previous encounters (not caused by seating or standing, but by violence).

As I said below - if there's no obvious advantage to be had to be stood in one specific area of the stand, then people would disperse naturally. And the real fear people have of terraces - crushing - just wouldn't be possible with barriered rows.

I could see it easily working in the Jarrold, 2,000 seats taken out in the middle, halfway up the stand. Of course that'd never happen because of the premium attached to that type of view.

Really don't see why it could work though.
