FAO Meeky and anyone else who goes to Colney regularly
I've often wondered, and now seems as good a time as any to ask; just what *do* they do there every day?
Train for between 1 1/2 and 2 hrs a day.
Do they just run around cones and then play a small-sided game or what?
Yes, then a 7 or 8 a side game.
Do they ever do drills to focus on one aspect of the game?
Not seen anything this season.
Does anyone practice crosses and corners?
They worked on defending corners and set pieces before the Plymouth game that was it! Bloody shambles it was as well.
Does anyone, heaven forbid, actually practice thier shooting?
Saw Deano. Mcveigh and Lisbie practising before the Plymouth game nothing since.
All these things are absolutely elementary as part of any training regieme - but from what we see when saturday comes, *every* bloody saturday, is always the same ol.
They say you shouldn't criticise if you can't do better, well f**k me if I'm not absolutely convinced that I could make our lot into better footballers given 2 weeks work on the training ground. And it's not like I'm Mourinho either.
Agree with all your points there mate. Good article in the *League* newspaper yesterday, about that new bloke at Southampton trying to get the players to train 2 or 3 times a day.
