Now, i want rid of Worthington as much as the next man...

he's a poor manager as his future career path will no doubt prove. He obviously has no reputation within football otherwise his name would have been mentioned at some point during his "glorious 5 1/2 years"(incidentally where did he find the extra 1/2 year from??) in relation to other jobs. He talked himself up once when Sheff Wed were managerless in order to blackmail the board, and that's as far as it's ever gone. Tactically he's pretty inept and the way he treats our young players is nothing short of a disgrace. However, is it just me, or is it the case that the bulk of the people getting really worked up about the situation are those too young to remember the Chase era? There was a situation where it really was a case of being on the verge of losing the club, not a reletively minor run of the mill thing like fancying a new manager. Nothing will ever seem quite as vital or pressing as that situation did which is why, as we were chewing the cud last night in the Rosary, we were all pretty much agreed that as much as we don't want the man to stay we really couldn't see a time when we'd all feel like scrapping with Met police horses, invading the pitch etc over the issue. Maybe its time to hand over the baton to the new breed of NCFC angry young men eh?!!
