"FOX' sports coverage is bloody brilliant actually.
It's their news arm that's a joke."

I thought I'd give you the benefit of the doubt and see for myself their 'bloody brilliant' sports coverage (plus see if I could source the stats you quoted). Found this:

Annoyingly I can't play the highlights vid from my location (UK).
Also annoyingly there's no accompanying stats, such as you'd find on the BBC match report page.

But what gets me the most is the awful, clunking way some of the possessive description gets in the way of reading the report (to my British sensibilities, I mean):-

Take for starters, the headline:
"Arsenal falls short against Norwich"
Which should be 'Arsenal fall short' - no 's'.

"Arsene Wenger's team now trails leader Chelsea by 10 points"
= trail leaderS

"Arsenal, which had not lost at Carrow Road for 28 years, is in ninth place. Norwich is 15th, rising four places to escape the relegation zone."
= Arsenal, WHO had not lost...years, ARE in ninth. Norwich ARE 15th

"...Tettey was allowed space to advance and fire a low 25-meter (yard) shot which Mannone pushed into the path of Holt"
Apart from the Yank spelling of metre, it's also confusing how a country that has adopted the Imperial measurement system has converted to metric (I presume as they're reporting on a sport from Europe and so assume we're all metric) for a sport that is measured historically in Imperial distances and then offered an Imperial conversion in brackets - but not actually providing the figure! This may be a typo omission or this may be some idiot thinking 25m = 25yd. I don't know, but either way it's stupid.

"Norwich wasted a chance to extend its lead in the 34th when defender..."
= 34th MINUTE!

"Gervinho shaped to shoot in the 89th but Bassong..."
= (again) 89th MINUTE!

Maybe I'm nit-picking and as this is an American site reporting for American's who would not find these things irritating, but I don't like it. I'd guess that you were American but then you used the term 'bloody brilliant' so I think not! Perhaps you live over there and only have Fox to provide your access and are subsequently used to it.

Either way I doubt we'll ever agree, so good night!
