If we hadn't already spent just about every game this season playing at least 10 yards deeper than last season, leaving us devoid of attacking threat. Will this work in the bread and butter games v bottom half sides we need to win if we're to stay up? No, I'm afraid it won't.
I don't think we won because we "executed our gameplan perfectly". I think we won because Arsenal didn't turn up. Beyond that, all season long on here and amongst the fanbase, there'll be a philosophical debate: is going defensive more likely to keep us up than doing it by playing attacking football and scoring goals?
My view of tonight is based on the strongly held belief that it isn't.
