I like Keegan as a manager, and agree that a lot of the stick he gets is undeserved.

My concern though, as I pointed out, is that Keegan needs a lot of money to make his style of play work. It relies on bringing players who are either very quick (Gillespie, Fox, Ferdinand, Wanchope), or, more importantly, highly skilful and intelligent (Ginola, Asprilla, Beardsley, Benarbia, Berkovic, Albert etc). Which - unfortunately - tend to be more expensive than grafters.

Personally, I'd love to see O'Neill back. But what we need is someone who can get us moving on a relatively small budget. Which, much as I dislike the idea, might just be Burley. Or a foreign manager with some good contacts ...
