Ambition with Prudence

Worthy took over when we were in the 2nd tier of English football and seriously struggling in 20th place.

Since then Worthy has applied is managerial skills in 3 key areas:

1. Match Day - making the correct squad formation choices and player selections and ensuring all players are mentally fully focused, and totally committed.
2. Tactical Management - carrying out targeted training and coaching in between games to ensure players learn from their mistakes and improve their skills (eg offsides, corners, penalties).
3. Strategic Management - ensuring that we have effective processes in place to ensure a supply of new blood into the team from signings and youth development - always ensuring sales and purchases result in a net improvement in the team abilities.

Having applied these skills to the best of his ability, 5 years later we have progressed steadily and are now in the 2nd tier of English football and seriously struggling in 20th place.
