Minor rants about yesterday

- Ashton is the kind of striker that thrives on good service - ideally balls whipped in from out wide. We have reduced him to snap shots from outside the box because we refuse to play anyone who will take the ball up and give good delivery from out wide. What a shocking waste of an awesome talent.

- Huckerby tore us apart at the City Ground when he played for Forest. He doesn't seem to do that any more. Wednesdays' defence was s**t especially in the first half yesterday but he couldn't carve a way through. He's one of the most creative players in the Championship and we need to work out once and for all a system that plays to his strengths. No he doesn't track back enough as left-mid in a 4-4-2 - but Brennan didn't seem to move half the time yesterday, and I know who I'd rather have on the field.

- Most of our squad, it seems, has now played at right wing. Peter Thorne is not the quickest man in the squad - he's a big, hold-it-up style of centre forward. At least if he's coming on play him up front in a three, or if one of the strikers has to go on the wing at least make it Henderson who has some pace (much as I think he's a much better striker than winger).

- Why did we buy Colin and Huey-Duey Jean only to play Fleming at right back. Why did we ever let Eddy go :-(

- What the f**k does Hooz think he's doing running round for a lap of honour after he's given the three points away?!

- Corners are a feature of football. We should practice them.

- Throw ins are also a feature of football. We should practice them, too.

- The offside rule is widely publicised. We should learn it.

- And that pesky one about the ball being stationary at free kicks.

- Safri - what a performance in the first half, the only player who gave a s**t for much of it. He may have tired later on but that's to be expected. Let's hope he stays fit and Morocco get knocked out of the cup fast.

- We are undoubtedly hampered by bad luck with injuries just now, to make up for the good luck we had a couple of years ago. None of the above is due to that though. Worthy brought us some good times and will doubtless do the same to his next club - he's not become a bad manager overnight, but he is the wrong man for us just now. We deserve someone who will have a chance of turning things around, and he deserves a fresh shot elsewhere.

- Finally, what the f**k is Worthy on about when he says "just a few fans". Most of us were here long before him and will be here long after he has gone. The fans make a club - not the manager.

- Finally finally, I truly and genuinely think we have an excellent Board who have the best interests of the club at heart. I have lost confidence in Worthy - I certainly have not lost confidence in the Board, or in Neil Doncaster and his team.
