Well, we all knew he was happy to walk out on a club without a backward glance, if it suit

from the way we got him off Colchester. So we can hardly cry foul over the ultimate point of his exit.

The manner of it though, it's odd, and you can't really say without knowing all the facts (although that won't stop a lot, it rarely does).

What came out last night is either wrong or not the whole truth.

Most likely Bowkett meant constructive dismissal, not unfair dismissal, and got his words mixed up. However, if he did actually mean unfair dismissal, there must be other details that aren't public domain - because the details as we have them mean that unfair dismissal is illogical, and won't come to tribunal - there's no prima facie case for unfair dismissal when an employee has resigned. Constructive is another matter.

That Lambert can be a spiky character, and possibly not that likable at times probably isn't a news to those of us that have met him, even very briefly like myself.

I liked him for that though - I liked that he wasn't happy about stuff, and didn't appear to have any time for the stuff that he wasn't happy about.
