The flip side to the "Got to give managers time" argument

WBA: sacked Di Matteo - stayed up
Fulham: sacked Sanchez - stayed up
QPR: sacked Warnock - stayed up
Newcastle: sacked *cough cough* Hughton - stayed up

I think stability is preferable, but it's increasingly a nostalgic ideal. I don't get sticking with something that isn't working in the hope that it will all just be ok.

But I know that plenty of teams change managers and still go down and there's no outstanding replacements about. It just seems so certain at the moment that we'll be sitting here in May with Hughton having taken us down.
