Tettey was dynamic and aggressive throughout the first half, seemed very up for it and obviously wanted to make an impression. Good break-up play, good passing (if not in the Fox class), and wanted to shoot. Second half he was either more tired or decided to calm it a bit but was still good.
Butterfield also had several shots, should have scored late on, worked hard, and generally added to the game. Very two-footed, liked having a run at people but the ball isn't as stuck to his feet as Wes and he doesn't change direction as quickly as Pilkers.
Defence didn't have much to do. Ward looked calm, Bennett's both were their usual selves. Elly Benny looks like a decent right back actually. Tierney for me was a disappointment - played so well last year but he's not back to his old self yet and gave the ball away loads. Maybe it's the hair.
Holt worked hard up against a very tall defender who held him all the time. He had a decent shot and put Simeon through. SCM was enigmatic as usual (if that makes sense), and Kane missed a good chance before knacking himself. Simeon was in the kind of mood where his shooting was a bit wild. Ran hard, made space.
