Any Ipod users about?

I am trying to download the latest version of iTUNES that I now have to have to download further from that site.

Bloody thing keeps falling over at the set up status screen, (registering prduct) saying that there is "error conecting to service manager - error number 0"

Any ideas? As now I have no way of updating the thing with any new cds I buy!
