I am sure more criminals have guns than 'ordinary' civilians in the UK

The UK has chosen to have a no gun policy and if people use them then they face the consequences of the law. In the US the use of deadly force is permissible under certain conditions. I have a Concealed Handgun License and there are certain conditions under which it can be used, if not I too face the consequences of the law.
