What's most encouraging about Kane signing

is that he was possibly plan D after Cole, CMS, Jerome. That's right we had a backup plan, no waiting till 5 past midnight in the services in the vain hope David Cotterill might change his mind, before driving home empty handed. To me that's a sign that whilst money may not be hugely available (due to debt repayment) we do as a club know what were about these days.
