Yes but there was clearly something in that too and I suspect

it not happening was down to him rather than us. Don;t think the same would be the case with CMS.

Not sure how i'd feel about this. He's clearly a reasonable player and by all acounts has great work rate and attitude. Therefore not a bad addition to the squad/striking options. He is not, however, signing to take us to the next level.
