1, Biggest budget ever. . . I'm sure the new deals for Holt, Ruddy, and Surman chipped into that budget nicely, Not including all the other new contracts over the summer, signing on fees, agent fees etc. . . . That doesn't mean that there'll be more money available for players. The rumours were very bold and clear as said by Holts agent amongst everyone that Lambert was promised something that was not going to be delivered. . . clearly the budget in my opinion.

2, I have no memory of Lambert ever saying the words "it wasn't budget related" would LOVE to see a quote of that. . . .

3, I wasn't talking about bassong. . . We seem to be about to spend a fair old bit of money post Fulham when all the interviews suggested Hughton was about ready to go with what he had (and for the record the club was never going to let Bassong go out on the radio and say this move happened quickly over the last couple of days, and give the fans a sense of panic at board room level)
