Turner, Bassong, Emnes possibly. Whelmed.

Bassong, if I'm honest, I must've seen him play loads of times but I can't recall a thing about him, so, on the one hand he ain't Bobby Moore but on the other hand at least he ain't Titus Bramble.

Emnes: on the upside, he looks like a hell of a player. On the downside, from what I've seen, he isn't one, unless three seconds of skill across a season makes a class act. Lots of energetic running, mind. We could get that anywhere. Andy Hooze for instance (tho at least Emnes runs in generally the right direction).

Maybe I'm just in a foul mood, but Hoots, FFS these are not exciting signings man. This looks like a striving for mere adequacy. And before anyone goes all ooo, shall we sign Messi then mimble mimble f**king mim, I'm not suggesting that. I'm just saying there are decent experienced players and there are s**te ones.

There are "oooh!" signings, and there are ".....ah" signings.
