I give a vague half-s**t in respect of my suspicions that I might have paid for his hotel

suite and plane tickets (economy class? I suspect not). I may not have done. He's on a captains wage in the army so he could have stumped up for it himself.

But that's simply my lingering dislike of inherited privilege and hunch that the royals could probably get along very nicely indeed on quite a few millions of pounds less a year which might be better spent training nurses, midwives, teachers or child protection social workers. But that's just insane lefty flapdoodle.
