This is my theory. Someone on Soccer Saturday said he wasn't sure how well Hoots would do

as up until now (ie before 3pm on Sat) he had only managed clubs in a crisis (which we clearly were not).

Hoots has strategically (and very astutely IMO) now created a 'crisis' so that he can now perform to plan. Bravo! Now show us what you're made of!

Nothing else makes sense.
