I was reading something on brewing your own Cider recently

basically, just buy and decent quality apple juice and leave it in a plastic container for a bit. (obviously there's a bit more to it than that, but far less faffing around than brewing your own beer)

That's called turbo cider. I've got a couple of demijohns in the cellar.

There used to be a shop in Norwich dedicated to brew your own, just near the YMCA.
