and having seen highlights of all the other games, plus watching Saints playing really well against Citeh.....I am really worried about this season.
I echo all the comments from yesterday. Against Fulham we were worse in every department that we were last season (and the two before that). The drive, passion, shape, organization and most importantly effort, were al lacking yesterday.
I'm not going to get too pessimistic after just one game, but something intangible was lacking yesterday that we had under Lambert. I hope Hoots and team learn from what served us so well for the last 3 seasons, and work out what motivates the players, and the right systems for teh skills we have. The defense has a mare (obviously), but one up front does not work, when you have a team full of attacking midfielders.
Watching the Saints take the lead at Citeh, just reminded me how much fun it was watching Norwich last the last few years. Yesterday was not fun - simple as that. Not so much the scoreline, more the way the team was set up and the lack of effort and passion. I'm not sure buying more (better) players will solve the underlying issues.
I'm worried.
