Well, I was there and this is what I thought.

We looked like we weren't ready. Not as fit as Fulham and way too deep.

It's not all about us, though. Fulham played well, in a similar formation to us. Old man Duff looked much sprightlier than Pilky, Ruiz a lot more creative than Surman, Petric (bought on a free from Hamburg) a lot better than Holt, and comparing Hangeland with Turned (spelling deliberate) would just be cruel. However the key for me was Diarra. He hardly moved more than 20 metres outside the centre circle yet he controlled the game. I don't recall one single time any one of Johnson, Howson or Surman got to him and disrupted what he was doing. Any time Fulham needed to keep the ball he was available. He didn't do anything spectacular, just started moves and kept it ticking. We had no-one doing anything like it or about it. Until we do (Fox?) we won't make much progress, I think.
