but I thought that from the start yesterday they played like a team that knows the formation won't work. I have some sympathy: when I read that Hoggleton likes a 451, I thought "well we're not very good at that, by last year's evidence". But we'll see. I do know that I've had a few managers down the years who've decided, against all advice, that it'd be a good idea to do things that haven't been a good idea in the past.
Over the last three seasons, the lads have worked really well together as a tight unit. Greater than the sum of the parts, as the saying goes. yesterday they were individually crap, though. I won't single anyone out, though I was particularly worried about the performance of one of my favourites.
OK I will single one out, though not for his performance, more in a general way: on a bad day for everyone, what did you think of Snoddy?
