We never got close to them. I don't remember a challenge, block, or interception from our midfield. Certainly no pressing, it was far too easy for Fulham to play. When we had the ball, we did nothing with it, I've never seen a keeper or center back have such a comfortable (heat aside) afternoon.
Holt upfront by himself - never going to work - especially if the midfield is as lethargic as it was yesterday. Boot the ball from the back, by-pass the midfield, nothing from midfield. Who would have thought it wouldn't work?
Disappointed with Hughton's comments. Fulham have a strong home record but setting us up for defeat, so negative.
Who knows what will happen next week - at the very least I would like to see us play Jackson, he provides some pace, a foil and is generally good for our all round team game. Hoolahan has to start, our most important player bar none (did Hoots watch the DVD's) and Ebay on the right. Pacey, gets back well and capable of delivering a good ball.
Hoots has a lot to figure out on the traynun ground. Huge "baptism of fire" in our early fixtures. I'm not expecting many points but I'd at least like to see some positive signs we can compete with teams like Fulham, West Ham, Reading etc.
