Thought I was over it but...

after reading all the comments on here it's made me angry again!! It's not because we lost, it's not even because we lost 5-0, it's the manner that we lost that really winds me up. If the boys had worked hard I'd be more forgiving but it's like they'd just shown up for a quick about in the park. We were so static at times Fulham we're passing it around like we weren't even there, the cheers of "Ole" from the Fulham fans summed it up while they casually played it around in midfield and we lined up as a flat back 9 on the edge of the box watching them!!
So many times the Fulham back 4 had the ball and were put under no pressure. Holt was stood 5 yards aways and didn't even bother to chase just walked around like the extra money from his new contract was weighing him down, Pilks and Snodgrass were about 20 yards away from the full backs and never attempted to close them down, neither look fit, it made it feel like they always had an extra man.
Every time Tierney got the ball he tried launching it up front to Holt, mostly getting nowhere near him and gaving it away, Turner was simply terrible and the mad lunge for the penalty was cringeworthy, R. Bennett simply seems to lack awareness, there were a few times he was nowhere near his man or simply unaware there was someone stood right behind him, Howson was blowing out his arse after an hour! There were times where we couldn't even play a 5yards pass, the players seemed on a different wave length to one another which is strange considering most of them played together last season.
When he came on Wes looked a cut above, his movement off the ball and first touch stood out, always moving, finding space, looking for the ball. Thought E. Bennett also looked lively, at least he tried to get the ball in the box and started getting some crosses in.
Feel sorry for Ruddy too, other than 1 mistake he didn't do anything wrong, just let down by those in front of him.
Hoping for a positive reaction against QPR otherwise it's going to be a long, painful season.
